Staufen-based IKA Werke – Finalist in Germany’s Mid-Size Business Award
In the top 24 out of 3,600 entries
IKA Werke emerged as one of the 24 finalists in the 2012 competition for Germany’s Top Mid-Size Business Award. Some 3,600 companies had originally entered. The finalists were chosen by the panel from a list of more than 1,800 companies that qualified for the second round of the competition. The assessment covered the company’s overall development, job creation and security and criteria ranging from innovation and modernization, to commitment to the region, service, customer focus and marketing.
IKA Werke was nominated by the town of Staufen and the Baden Association of Industrial Companies.
“To be one of the finalists in this competition, out of thousands of entrants, is confirmation of our success in all aspects of our business,” says IKA owner and managing director René Stiegelmann.
The award presented by the Oskar Patzelt Foundation on 18 May is one of Germany’s most prestigious business awards.
Five of the company’s products received the “red dot design award – product design 2012” in April 2012. In June, the new “Tube Mill” – premiered at the trade fair – was shortlisted for the Achema Award. IKA® was also chosen as a TOP 100 Innovator in the TOP 100 Award. All of which clearly demonstrates the company’s market leadership in many fields.
