Bachelor of Science, Business Informatics
Come to IKA and combine two worlds. You like both the office wing and the production hall to the same extent and find it hard to choose between business administration and computer science. So you should make both of them your career and follow a dual study course for a Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Engineering (m/f/diverse) at IKA.
Your studies will be structured as follows.
- You will study for 3 years at the Dual University Lörrach and will combine theoretical technical knowledge from the university and practical career experience at IKA on an alternating three-month schedule.
- Master plans combine your theoretical and practical phases with regard to content.
- In the 1st and 2nd year of study, you will produce a practical project each year; in the 3rd year of study, your Bachelor Thesis. The Project and Bachelor Theses will be written at IKA, not at the university.
What you will learn at the university.
- In the first year of study, you will be taught the basics: These include various programming languages, databases and ERP systems, as well as the basics of business administration and business informatics and their methods.
- After that, in addition to the core modules, you can choose between the specializations "Digital Transformation/Smart Business Applications" or "Consulting".
What you will learn with us.
- First at all, you will gain an overview of our operational processes and the products in the fields of laboratory, analysis technology and processing.
- Furthermore, you will get to know all departments relevant to your studies and their processes. You will support the implementation and optimization of IT processes, in close coordination with individual departments.
- During your entire study/training period with us, you will work independently on project tasks whose requirements are constantly increasing.
