Bachelor of Engineering Industrial Engineering
Come to IKA and combine two worlds.
You like both the office wing and the production hall to the same extent and find it hard to choose between business administration and technology. So you should make both of them your career and follow a dual study course for a Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Engineering (m/f/diverse) at IKA.
Your studies will be structured as follows.
- You will study for 3 years at the Dual University Lörrach and will combine theoretical technical knowledge from the university and practical career experience at IKA on an alternating three-month schedule.
- Master plans combine your theoretical and practical phases with regard to content.
- In the 1st and 2nd year of study, you will produce a practical project each year; in the 3rd year of study, your Bachelor Thesis. The Project and Bachelor Theses will be written at IKA, not at the university.
What you will learn at the university.
- In the fundamentals of the curriculum, you will acquire well-founded natural science and technical knowledge plus business skills. The core modules include mathematics, computer science, technical physics, business administration, political economics, marketing, project management and company administration.
- The field of study of electronics prepares you for tasks as an industrial engineer in the electronics industry. It will teach you, for example, the basics of technical documentation, electronics, digital, measuring and electrical technology, production and logistics, materials science and international business.
What you will learn with us.
- In the first year of study, you will gain an overview of our operational processes and the products in the fields of laboratory, analysis technology and processing. In addition, you will acquire fundamental technical skills.
- In the second year of study, we focus on the fundamentals of business. Involvement in the daily routine of our technical departments, such as Purchasing, Marketing and Sales, provides a deep insight into the operational processes at IKA.
- The third year of study permits more and more independent activity in the technical and business areas. This includes project tasks where requirements increase day by day and which you work on autonomously.
