IKA Works, Inc. had two reasons to celebrate August 21st, 2015

The Germany-based world leader in laboratory, analytical, and process technology celebrated its 30th year in the US; and it officially inaugurated its new building next to its old location on Northchase Pkwy SE. Among the inauguration guests were professors and leading executives, including Chancellor Sartarelli from University of North Carolina Wilmington, a frequent cooperation partner for IKA. Other guests included BB&T Senior Vice President Charlie Mattox from Wilmington, as well as many top executives from the IKA headquarters in Germany.

After a tour of the building, all guests were invited to celebrate Kid’s Day with the children of IKA employees and visitors: “Beware of Pirates” – a sign warning the 250 guests as they made their way down the driveway to the IKA farm near Rocky Point, north of Wilmington. Upon arrival, it only took them a few seconds to delve into the world of pirates, Native Americans and colonials – a journey that lasted well into the night and brought back past centuries through visual effects, music, and culinary delights.  See for yourselves…
