Vertical kneading machines

The IKA® heavy-duty kneading machines type PLANETRON® are vertical kneading machines with 2 DUPLEX-like kneading blades. The design of the PLANETRON® allows for a bearing of the kneading shafts as well as their sealing outside the product area. Thus absolutely clean masses can be produced. The excellent kneading and dispersing effect is based on the principle of intermeshing kneading blades, where one kneading blade is planetarily rotating around the central kneading blade and both blades are stripping each other. The thus created increasing and decreasing pressure and shear forces result within shortest time in an intensive kneading and finest dispersing of the product to be kneaded.

The machines are applicable for production of medium to high viscous materials.

Due to our own engineering team we are in the position to design complete, tailor-made plants.

Drive systems

  • geared motor: kneading blades with one fixed speed
  • pole-changeable geared motor: choice between two fixed speeds
  • geared motor with frequency converter: speeds can infinitely be adjusted via frequency converter

These 3 drive systems are also offered in Ex-protected design. The frequency converter itself is not
