Pilot plants

IKA Pilots connect your lab with scaling up to large-scale production. IKA ensures a seamless transition from product development to mass production by offering an equipment series where the same machine can handle both small and large scale capacities.

The magic LAB, LABOR-PILOT and PROCESS-PILOT machines are perfectly suited for the optimization of product recipes and process parameters. The Pilots are characterized by the same specific energy input as the production IKA inline machines with higher flow rates. They provide the production moderate and high shear for making dispersions, lump and dust-free input of powder into liquids, as well as homogenous mixing. A vast array of accessories are available to convert the small scale Inline Mixing machines into full lab and pilot mixing plants.

The magic PLANT is a versatile mixing plant machine for laboratory scale. It is available in three different versions for multiple mixing and dissolving processes.

The IKA pilot plants type Master Plant have batch capacities of 10, 25 and 50 litres, are designed for mixing and homogenizing, and provide effective incorporation of solid and liquid additives. The plant was developed specifically for products with a high viscosity (of up to 100.000 mPas). Master Plant systems allow for high-quality emulsions and suspensions to be produced and degassed in a very short period of time.
